You Lost Me

At Goodbye

She shattered your heart again

Like reunion that doesn’t end

The fear was set to ablaze

The arguments like a timeless repetition

Where no one wins and no ground is made

I try to drown out the misunderstandings

With logic but it raises the stakes

Your anger shifting to me

You say I am creating PTSD

The problem is me

We are incompatible

Silence looms on

Until a new insult then an apology

Then crickets fill space

As I wait for the next fight

Or the never ending peace of you leaving

heartbreak

About the Creator

Lisa Pulliam

I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
