You knew

The years rolled by And then a friend spoke to me of you And my hands reached out

To find you had found A lady fair to be your wife I smiled Knowing you were rolling in her love And embracing her in hers

The moment that you had seen her you had known she would be your life And then today I heard that only in Heaven could you be touched

Two weeks of marriage had been your allowed bliss A tease- when all you deserved was the height and experience of living and loving her The one you cherished.
