(Have Made My Day Today)

If I cried

And fell right in your arms

If I died

From such a bad storm

Would you save my body from drowning?

Would you save me from myself?

I saw a man who was too good to be true

He was alive

He was beaten, black and blue.

He was so tough

He was beautiful

He was all I wanted.

I will love you more than ever

I will kiss you ‘till daybreak

I will mother all your children

You have made my day today.

This man is gold and he is silver, too

He is platinum, he is bronze, it’s true

He is traumatized

But so am I

We will build our sheltered home.

I just love you so

You are on my mind

I’ll kiss your forehead dear, alright?

I will terrorize your terror

I will take away your bad

I will hold your heart forever

You are the best I’ve ever had

I just want you to be happy

I just want you to be safe

I love it when we are laughing

You have made my day today.

If I swore

That your heart would suffice

Would it cure

All of the bad human race?

I want you now

I’m crazy for you

I will make your soul new.

I’ll blow away all your depression

I’ll kiss away all of your doubt

I just hunger for affection

I have seen a new way out.

Can I love you more

Than what I have explained?

I don’t think that’s possible.

I will water your desert drought

You have made my day today.
