What is love?
What is love?
It’s the warmth that blooms in your heart,
The longing that lingers in every quiet moment,
The desire that pulls you close, even when miles apart.
It’s the surge of energy that fills you,
After a day that’s worn you down,
A single thought of them, and suddenly,
The world feels lighter, your burdens less profound.
It’s the courage that makes you believe,
You could conquer the world,
Just to see them smile,
To keep them safe, to make them stay a while.
It’s the ache that tears you apart,
When they hurt, when they cry,
The world crumbling beneath your feet,
When you feel their pain, when you see them sigh.
It’s the beauty in every sunrise,
The symphony that plays in your soul,
The sweet scent of roses in bloom,
When they are near, when they make you whole.
But what is love, truly?
I thought I knew—
All these feelings, all these dreams—
But love to me my love, Love is you.

Your poem beautifully captures the many facets of love, from its warmth and courage to its pain and beauty. It’s a touching reflection that resonates deeply, especially with the heartfelt conclusion that love, to you, is embodied in someone special.
