You come Wild

A poetic series on shadows and light

By Astrid Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Come dark

Come wild

Heavy footed

Through my

Valleys

Deep.

Come risk

Come dangers

Panting and heaving

At my forest floor.

Come moonless night

Come silent abyss

Suggestive taunts

And hungry licks.

Come howling

Come breathing

Beneath brooding canopies.

Come tread

These unexplored depths.

Come uttering a spell

Come through the hedge

Beneath this mossy soil

Mycelium lungs

Sing you down

Come, hear my call of

Altered Pslams.

Come creature

Come heavy and panting

At the edge of my roots

Salivating

Grunting.

Come hunter

Come hunger

Shackles sharp and shaking

For the beat in my chest.

Sharpen claws

upon my bark

I yield

I Forgive.

Come dark

Come wild.

About the Creator

Astrid

I have always felt like an oddball and seen the world differently to others. My poetry is an outlet for my weirdness, my hearts desires, my fantasies and my deep connection and relationship with nature and fascination with the human spirit.
