Go ahead and be productive

for the sake of productivity

Disregard

resultant physiological impact as

irrelevant

Focus

on the end goal

society commands you idolize

obeisance total and complete with absolute worship

Migraines/depression/cardiac arrythmia/anxiety

worthy offerings to the god of

‘stress yourself to achieve it all’

before you run out of

time/life/chi/brain function

to get that

Mercedes/executive promotion/trophy spouse

Great content filler for your obituary

everyone in attendance

will sit prim and proper through

as the words roll

over glazed eyes in succession

What gloriousness

that you replied to

every single e-mail/text/teams invite/phone call

as the unique energy signature

in the cosmos that is you

presents itself insipid monochrome

reluctant to change a frequency iota

and discover

the universe of being

that is powerful stillness

of pulsating soul

beneath sun

Author's Note:

I may be a statistic of one who has finished work that sits and sits in a folder without seeing the light of day because for the life of me, I can't figure out why I both like and don't like it, but can't bear to throw it away.

This is new.

But it's called growth, perhaps. Sharing something taking up virtual space that you didn't know what to do with, and welcoming other eyes on it rather than keeping it in the darkness.

When you wrote 'chi' I read 'chai' XD I had to read it three times to get it right. I imagined it must be nice to have chai flowing in our veins as life power. You wrote a powerful reminder of us all. It reminded me to stop and think about what is really important and the worth of everything.

So much anguish, but also great skill. Great perception, but also great sensitivity. You shook me from the beginning to your very last notes. If you manage to love and not love, yet accept and be yourself at the same time, then you are a guru. Well done.:))

Oof, this line, "Great content filler for your obituary" made me stop and pause. Hell of a poem. Loved it!

We all have lots of those, but the day comes when they scream to be free and you have no choice but to release it or go deaf. Is that guy jumping gonna make it to the other side. Rooting for him and you. Release ourselves from being slaves to the machine - man made. Leap. sister. leap, i'm right behind you. Freedom waits.
