You Ask, “ I ” Answer

A conversation between a tired soul and its Lord

By KomalPublished 7 months ago 3 min read

You: Why am I so tired, even when I’m doing everything RIGHT?

God: “Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” (Qur’an 94:6)

🌿 And My promise is not EMPTY — the storm always softens before the bloom.

~~~
You: Why does NO one understand what I’m going through?
God: “And We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein.” (Qur’an 50:16)
🌿 Even when no human hears, I am listening beneath your silence.
~~~

You: Why do I keep falling, again and again?

God: “Do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.” (Qur’an 39:53)

🌿 You fall, but never beyond My reach. RETURN— I am still here.

~~~
You: Why does it feel like I’m ALONE in this world?
God: “Indeed, My Lord is near and responsive.” (Qur’an 11:61)
🌿 I don’t need an invitation — I dwell in your ACHE, in your BREATH, in your PAUSE.
~~~

You: Why is everything being taken AWAY from me?

God: “Perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you.” (Qur’an 2:216)

🌿 I do not empty your hands without preparing to fill them with BETTER.

~~~
You: What if I’m NOT strong enough to carry this?
God: “Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear.” (Qur’an 2:286)
🌿 What you carry now, I tailored for your becoming. You are already ENOUGH.
~~~

You: Why is my heart so heavy with sadness?

God: “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Qur’an 13:28)

🌿 I placed the KEY within you — speak My name, and your soul will RISE again.

~~~
You: What if I’ve strayed TOO far to come back?
God: “But whoever repents after his wrongdoing and reforms, indeed, Allah will turn to him in forgiveness.” (Qur’an 5:39)
🌿 You are never too far for Me — take ONE step, and I RUSH toward you.
~~~

You: Who will help me when no one else can?

God: “And rely upon Allah; and sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.” (Qur’an 33:3)

🌿 When every door shuts, Mine stays WIDE open — I am enough for you. Always.

~~~
You: Will I ever be enough? Will I ever be loved completely?
God: “He loves them, and they love Him.” (Qur’an 5:54)
🌿 I do not love in HALVES — My love fills every crack you've ever hidden.
~~~

You: What if my prayers are too broken, too late?

God: “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.” (Qur’an 40:60)

🌿 Even your whisper counts. Even your SIGH is sacred when it's for Me.

~~~
You: Is there any HOPE left for someone like me?
God: “My mercy encompasses all things.” (Qur’an 7:156)
🌿 Not even your own doubts can outrun the MERCY I have written for you.
~~~

You: Can I be held, even when I don’t speak?

God: “He knows what is [in] the hearts.” (Qur’an 57:6)

🌿 I read your silence like scripture. You are NEVER hidden from Me.

~~~
You FALL silent.
You think the conversation is OVER.
But I am still HERE.
Because when the world grows loud,
and your soul grows tired,
and your heart forgets how to hope
I remind you:
✨🌷 You were never meant to carry this ALONE.
✨🌷 You were NEVER unloved, not even for a moment.
✨🌷 And I, your Lord, love you more than you can IMAGINE.
    Such tender truth in every line. It reads like a conversation we’ve all had in our darkest moments.
    This is spectacular, very good for anyone who is struggling with doubts, fears, and a heavy load. A reminder that they are not alone, they are loved, and they are forgiven. We don't have to carry the weight of life on our own when we put our faith in God.
    Loving it I always put God words that He loves me when nobody else does and it helps to pray to talk even though it takes often years and months of handling all alone because sometimes some make us to feel lonely and bad but with God we always create a better world better being for ourselves and another beautiful and I sooo love it I want to come back to it whenever hard moments arrive again but there are no notes where you can pick what you like from others so I will just save it in my mind Have a beautiful moments and days also in between the harsh ones 😊🌞🌸
    Ohhhhhh Komal! This writing is truly a gift and blessing! Being reminded of Qur’an 2:216 touched a place in me that had been crying out silently for too long. I miss my Qur'an, as in the translation I had. It's been so long that I cannot even remember whose translation it was. I might have to start digging... Thank you for sharing this in the way only YOU can!
    Coming from your previous poem to this, seeing the word bloom again, makes me smile. Especially coming from the mouth of God. ‘Return I am still here’, at this point I am going to call you the grabber of tears. ‘…Empty your hands to fill them with better’ 😭😭😭 How amazing is it, that even a sigh could be as like an eloquent prayer of great lengths. That’s an awesome thing to point out and to remember. I love this back and forth, it seems like God always has a response to every question in his written words. This was beautiful Komal.
    Another beautifully done piece, Komal. 😁 In times of weakness, we can often do with this sort of strength (and this coming from a non-religious person, lol). I hope you'll always remain strong and know that He will always watch over you. 💖
    I sometimes realize how humbling it is to exist. No matter the religion, belief or faith there is always a familiar truth. It is us as humans who bend the word to our will that cause strife. This piece lets us know it is ok to just listen and believe.
  • Beautifully introspective, Komal.God is present in all things, even when it doesn't feel so sometimes.
  • Very soulfoul and heartfelt, Amazing lines @Komal
