A river knows the way

Without a map, without a guide,

It twists through valleys, wide and narrow,

Carrying whispers of mountains,

The songs of ancient stones.

It doesn’t question its course,

Even when the path is hidden in the fog,

Or when the rocks lie sharp beneath,

The water simply moves,

Ever flowing,

Ever trusting.

Through forests dense and skies that weep,

It follows the earth’s own heartbeat,

Knowing that each bend is part of its story,

And even the rapids teach

The value of surrender.

So we, too, are rivers in our way,

Carving our lives through time,

Not always seeing the end,

But trusting the flow that moves us forward,

And letting go

Of the need to control.

The river knows—

It carries us all

To where we are meant to be.

"And even the rapids teach the value of surrender" - beautiful! I appreciate the constant flow of the lines with the gentle comma pauses. It gives the lines that end in a period a deeper impression. Well done!
