Golden Moments in Ordinary Days

The hush before rain

Steam curls from a morning mug,

the warmth cradled in quiet hands,

sunlight slipping through the blinds,

painting gold on the kitchen table.

A child's laughter from the next room,

unburdened, full,

the rustle of pages in a well-loved book,

whispering stories only the heart can hear.

Footsteps on a forest path,

leaves murmuring under gentle weight,

the hush before rain,

when the air hums with waiting.

A shared glance across the room,

the comfort of presence,

the weight of a hand resting on yours—

no words needed.

These moments pass unnoticed,

small as breath,

yet they are the threads

that weave a life worth holding close.
