You see me quiet.

You think I'm a fool.

Just because I'm humble.

You treat me like trash.

Just because I look poor.

You think you are better than me.

You see me smiling out of kindness.

Then, you think I've got a crush on you.

I've got better people to crush on—those with principles.

People with a sense of humor.

People without judgmental minds.

The truth is that I've got better things to worry about.

Unfortunately, you are not one of those things.

You are not on my bucket list.

I've got better places to go and meet people.

I've got my life to focus on.

You are nowhere near my bucket list.

I just finished reading "You Are Not on My Bucket List," and I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for your piece. It resonated deeply with me, especially the bold declaration of reclaiming one's independence and personal freedom from expectations imposed by others. There’s something powerful in the way you articulate the quiet but firm decision to step away from the unnecessary and focus on what truly matters.
