You Again?

Here we go again, with you, again. But this will be the last time, the last “again” with you.

why must i

revisit this thought

reliving what i wish would've been

you're a question

to which i've received the answer

"no"

still i ask

again and again

begging for a yes

trying to cross a bridge already burned

an innocent attraction turned fatal

at my own fault now and my own then

a power i gave you

unconsciously-

you wield over me

unintentionally-

what you do to me you only can because i let you

because you-

found me when i wasn't looking for you

and left with everything i ever wanted

my mind knows it

but heart just can't-

let you go

foolishly patient- my virulent virtue

thinking about the days we used to be

i scene i wish i could go back to

the happier the fantasy- the sadder the reality

if only- we could meet for the first time, one more time

if only- i could hear a "yes" when i ask again

so far out of sight- wrongs i can't right

if only

we can revisit this again

if only

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.

I hope it gets better; sounds very sad. Nice job on the poem, it shows deep feelings.
