A question I ask over and over as if there’s a real answer floating somewhere in the abyss.

In the abyss, that’s where we all are anyway.

But I’m not alone, I have you.

Oh, how happy I am to have you, by my side.

Not happy, that’s the wrong word; I’m so much more than happy.

What’s the word for never ending?

Perpetual.

Perpetual joy.

You bring my life perpetual joy.

You love me in ways I’ve never been loved because you’ve seen parts of me that no one else has seen.

You make sacrifices. Ones that are life changing.

You’ve sacrificed everything to make me see your love.

I wish I could show you how much I love you.

You want to be everything and anything for me.

But you don’t know all the little things about you that make my heart beat with extra love for you.

Your soft kisses, and gentle arm touches in a crowded room.

The way your hair looks perfect no matter how many times you change it.

Those big, glossy eyes that fill with love and affection when you look at me.

That smile you give me when I catch you admiring me.

The way your hugs feel so safe. Like nothing can hurt me when I’m wrapped up in them.

When you ask me what’s wrong and don’t stop until I answer.

How you hold me when I’m crying and tell me everything will be okay.

You support my decisions and make me feel heard.

You tell me I’m beautiful every day.

You don’t let me worry, you try to take all our stress and wear it alone.

You make me feel wanted and loved.

You are everything to me.

You are the melody I hear in my head when things go wrong and I need to feel okay.

You are the person I’ve always dreamed of but never thought existed.

You are my partner, and no one compares to you.
