Sometimes, I think
my boyfriend gets annoyed
with how dramatic I can be.
But I don’t know
what else he expects.
Next time he says
“you’re doing too much”
Or
“why do you remember
every single thing I say”
I just want to say
You’re dating a writer
A poet to be specific
I was literally built for drama
and for details
and for taking
the most mundane things
and turning them into
something truly
spectacular
