Yellow

Yellow

Sunlight pours in from the open window,

flooding your face with its bright, shining rays.

You feel all the warmth of the color yellow

and are reminded of golden summer days.

Sitting in a field of amber flowers,

watching wondrous petals shine in the sun.

It was worth all of the April showers,

since now the marigold flowers are done.

Yellow is more than simply a color.

It is a feeling completely its own.

Fulfilled moments of joy with a lover

and all the things that remind you of home.

My best daydreams are always in yellow,

colorful and blooming; ready to grow.
