Yellow
I see yellow days
When I get to stand and say
I did not break but I surely did bend
This is the beginning of something beautiful, not the end
Drenched with honey like a Sunday morning
We remain in sleepy bed sheets while the sun is dawning
Sunlight dripping through windows and across the floor
Rays of light dancing through the open door
Even when life’s storms lock out the sun
I know that new horizons, soon will come
No matter how dark the nights turn out to be
The soft light of dawn my darling, will always be
Yellow
For you are yellow and so am I
We stand together soaking up the morning light
And in the touch of the sunlight’s summer rays
Is the hope that I hold onto of a brand new day
