Writing is hard.
Don’t give up though!
Hercules didn’t!
Though, look where that got him...
Maybe he is a bad example.
Everyone has their bad days.
Still, my point is this.
Slinking away and giving up now?
Will only lead to disappointment.
To those struggling and contemplating this course I say:
You will never know for sure.
Even a rubbish attempt is worth the effort, so pen it now!
Thank you for reading my literary experiment!
Writing is Hard came from the concept of starting with a single idea in a single line and taking the last letter of the last word to making it the first letter of the next line. For example, the D from hard became the D from don't. This continued until the last line where the last letter of the last word needed to be the first letter of the first line.
I decided against rhyming, it is not my favourite thing and I find it very challenging. I wanted this to be an experiment in a continuous thought, just thoughts flowing without the usual restrains of writing.
I tried to find a name for this particular type of poetry but was unable to find anything that matches. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate letting me know in the comments!

Nicely done.
Any group of words can be called poetry, I have done lots of experiments but despite my efforts, I am not seen as a creative writer of poetry or fiction by Vocal, but I am by my audience, and that is what matters. We are our own worst critics. This is an excellent piece and probably a Top Story
I'm so sorry, I don't know what this type of poetry is called but it was so brilliant! You executed it perfectly!
I love this!!!! I look forward to more of this style ❤️👌✨🕊️
Oh, how I totally agree with you. When I was in high school, one of my English teachers specialized in rhyme and meter and refused to teach any other style of poetry. She often said that if it has no rhyme or meter, it isn't poetry; it's prose and prose is story telling. I'll never forget those words. Yet, she taught us poetry (her way) and composition. Now, here I am, 60 years later, trying both.
Very inspirational.
Marvelous poem!!! Loving it!!!💕♥️♥️
