Boy, if you love me, you'll write me into one of your blues.

Give me heartache, give me twang. Like Patsy Cline doth pine: Drop me a line, and write me into one of your blues.

Give me angst, give me punk. Like Robert Smith doth forthwith: Show me, show me, show me how you do that trick, and write me into one of your blues.

Give me feeling, give me funk. Like James Brown doth get down: Get up, get on up, and write me into one of your blues.

Give me rhythm, give me soul. Like Diana Ross doth Luther Vandross: My time with you was the best I ever knew. Now, why don't you, write me into one of your blues.
