Flames skim the edges of my words,
heat seething under a fractured smile.
Silent screams rest in brittle bones,
waiting, simmering,
to rupture and stain.
Eyes, heavy with unshed storms,
veins throb with unvoiced rage.
With each breath,
a new war stirs,
and with every beat,
another vow snaps.
You say, “Calm down. Just breathe.”
But how do you soothe a blaze
a fire fed by the dust of grief,
a wrath that stands firm, unmoved?
I’ll tear down every bridge in my way,
clad in fury, unflinching.
Here, in this rage, I gather my strength.
In this wrath, I find I’m unhidden, whole.
