Would You Do the Same for Me?
A quintain poem of doubt

If I saw that you were crying,
I would kiss away your tears,
And if I saw you trembling,
I would hold your hand through your fears,
Would you do the same for me?
If I saw you looking down,
No smile upon your face,
Turn around your frown
Hold you tight in a warm embrace
Would you do the same for me?
If I saw that you were struggling
I would always be there to help sort things out
Remove the things that were troubling
Beyond any shadow of a doubt,
Would you do the same for me?
You pretend that you love me
And in your mind, I am sure you do
But your actions don’t show that to me,
Your love and consideration seem a bit untrue
So would you do the same for me?
I don’t think so,
You just take advantage of me.
Till next time,
Calvin
