It’s Worth It

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

We’re just bodies, aren’t we? Lost souls filled with bad habits and good intentions wrapped like Christmas gifts, in skin. Flesh and bones wearing the proof of life, like a new tattoo. Given away, for the promise of love.

Exchanging bits and pieces, for a chance of becoming whole with another. Someone, who, like us, is growing, trying and failing to realize our full potential and purpose. Becoming who we were always meant to be.

Making mistakes and amends, telling secrets and lies, making promises we could never keep, for the chance of finding and giving happiness.

Willing to do it over and over again for the sake of an unfiltered heart

"Exchanging bits and pieces, for a chance of becoming whole with another." Does it ever really work in the end? Yet, we keep going. Well done, my friend.
