blood-drops on the carpet
tear drops on the floor
mind swirling out in orbit
thoughts kept inside a drawer
windows open - doors shut
when it rains it sure pours
chained luck on rabbit's foot
a meatless carnivore
*
two drinks after midnight
a light buzz with no bees
wingless so it won't fly
a cute name for my knees
a quick play and some sci-fi
a breeze blows through the trees
I resist then I comply
then I do just as I please
*
senseless words to be playful
jumbled in a row
paid under the table
I've got cards I won't show
Smile once if you're able
twice if you don't know
three times to enable
my rhyming game to grow

This work is a game that will have you thinking.
Love your rhyming games!!
This is beautifully written. Well done.
This had an amazing rhythm to it. Loved your poem!
It wasn't easy, but I smiled three times for you. (Your whimsical bit of verse made it easier.)
