a breakup love poem

Cascades of hormones swept me under.

Child of the sun—oblivious to

currents, undertows. Wild creeks

and rush of dreams we were—

arching brooks;

streams without backbones:

(then we became a)

rapid without

    Your poem is very vivid. You make great use of imagery and metaphor. I can sense strong feelings as I read it. It also holds a deep message. I am intriuged by how well you have written this.
