Within A Layered Dream
Dreaming Of Dreaming

This notion’s stuck inside my head
A feeling that I’ll wake up dead
It lingered while I laid in bed
So I decide to pray instead
I prayed the Lord my soul to keep
While laying there and counting sheep
I finally drifted off to sleep
The sleep I slept, extremely deep
While fast asleep I dreamt I dreamed
A nightmare’s more like what it seemed
I woke up from that dream I dreamt
Was this the first dream, like I meant
Some angry birds took me away
Attacking me they made me pay
I fell to earth and there I lay
I never dreamt I’d die this way
While laying there I start to scream
The scary parts, a constant theme
I finally woke but then I deem
I’m stuck within a layered dream
