As I light a candle

and burn some sage

you begin to suffocate

I told you

that you had demons inside

they came out of the cracks

in your heart

from the lies

that you told

I thought you sold

me a dream

but it was ocean front property

on the edge

of a cliff with no sea

You knew I was magic

tried to turn me in

to a doormat

and you said that witches

aren't welcome here

you can try to blame me

you're not the first to try to hang me

I'm one with the stars

I have nothing to fear.

A brilliantly crafted poem by a witch of words. Perfect setting and execution. Witches always win in reality. because the death of the valiant— is no death at all.☀️
