Witches Love...

a poem in color

By Sarah SniderPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

witches love black jelly beans

love the way the sweet licorice

soothes and numbs and rolls

black is a shadow flavor

a soft and sexy midnight flavor

made of smoke and crystal

oracle salt, spit and spells

black as a pupil

ink and crow feathers

sunglasses and pencil-thin skirts

volcanic glass, basalt

black as a cure

black medicine black magic

black beautiful, charcoal

black lashes and black leather and

black lace, onyx

all of these things

tied up with black satin ribbons and

iridescent

raven's wings

black cats and new moons

but of course,

I'll eat the red ones,

too.
