Winter's Kiss

A sonnet

By Rowan GladishPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

A chill that curses my very bones

On Winters days and nights

A sky complete in cold grey tones

A wind that continuously bites

The mistress of the snowy season

Seduces her lovers so

But leaves them to die alone and freezing

When she's bored of her beau

Though beautiful, she can't be trusted

She's icy to the core

Yet so seductive, so enticing

She'll have you back for more

She'll draw you in and freeze you slow

Because winter loves a fatal blow
