Winter’s Glimmer
A Poem Celebrating the Quiet Beauty of a Dew Drop
A single dewdrop, small and bright,
Resting on the edge of winter’s night.
It clings to the leaf, so fragile and pure,
A quiet marvel that nature ensures.
Beneath the pale sun’s tender glow,
It catches the light in a shimmer of snow.
Like a tear from the heavens, gentle and true,
Reflecting the sky in a glistening hue.
It dances with the wind, yet does not fall,
A brief moment suspended, so still and small.
Its liquid heart holds the world at bay,
A captured whisper of the dawn’s first ray.
Around it, the world is wrapped in cold,
The trees stand silent, the earth grown old.
But the dewdrop remains, a beacon so bright,
A flash of life in the quiet of night.
It speaks of hope in a world turned gray,
A fleeting moment, soon swept away.
But in its shimmer, there’s something we see—
The grace in letting go, so wild and free.
It’s not in the size, nor the time that it stays,
But in its courage to live through the haze.
A tiny jewel that sparkles so high,
A perfect tear from the winter sky.
And when it falls, like a sigh to the earth,
It joins the frost, knowing its worth.
For in its brief life, it’s made us believe,
That even the smallest things can weave
A story of beauty, of light and grace,
A timeless reminder of nature’s embrace.
