I had a dream on winters edge,

were sleepless I lay for hours.

I dread intended seasons should

Bring a spring with no flowers.

In Twilight amidst this sleepless dream

an apparition did appear,

extending her arm with un-bridaled charm,

I surely had nothing to fear.

In the Waxing light of a pale moon night,

we swirled around the room.

A soft touch between lips,

a breath held between a kiss.

Sun pressed through the mist

and lifted her from my view.

What fleet feelings I now miss.

What wonders were all in one kiss,

The love I never Knew.

Now in the crest of the day,

spring flowers break way,

and I know not what to do .

For I had a dream on winters edge,

underneath the light of the moon.

Where my sleepless nights went and came

too soon .

heartbreak
