Something
has changed
in the atmosphere,
but you cannot
pinpoint what exactly
it is.
*
You only
know that
the world is
trying to tell
you something.
*
And it does.
*
Golden leaves
lie crispy on the dirt,
leaving the trees bare.
*
What was once
just a cool breeze
is now freezing,
or slowly edging in
that direction.
*
Grass looks lifeless.
Then again,
it always does to you.
*
Certain animals are hiding.
Some insects are, too.
You’re happier about
the insects leaving.
*
The soil is damp,
and the first traces
of frost begin to form
as the temperature
grows colder.
*
Is winter coming?
Or has it already arrived?
*
Shovels sit outside,
prepared for any
fallen snow to come.
*
You breathe in
and welcome the
season with open arms.

A chilling opening to a beautiful atmospheric season. Then you hit me with my own thoughts or is it your thoughts...The world is probably trying to tell me something. But what 🤔 Oh?! I love the slow creeping description. Hmm is this the philosophical Luna we know or... Is this just... Hmm... I'm loving it. But not like McDonald's. 'Has it already arrived' I am very connected to this line. These cold nights I've been having. I've been wondering the same. You should've seen us last night. Grabbing all the blankets our storage could spit at us. This was fantastic. Nicely done Luna 🤗❤️
Is winter coming? Gotta ask Jon Snow, lol. Loved your poem!
