End of autumn means the onset of winter,
The pathetic fallacy of death,
The final whisper to our journey.
Days get shorter, we experience less sunlight,
And lo, the frost, the cold, snow and ice,
The reflections from the dim light make them glimmer like
Tiny devils reeling you in, making you surrender your hopes.
The season brings on sadness, depressing thoughts and yet,
All this sadness is beautiful. A dark yet beautiful emotion,
For in its deeper meaning, only with the feeling of happiness,
Can one truly experience the magic of sadness, the magic winter brings.
For we as humans, while we may be rational, we forget joy comes in everything,
But ultimately in gratitude, gratitude for our existence, resilience,
Our strengths that make us who we are.
And the other pull being that after the magic of winter,
Comes the rebirth in spring.
