Winners And Losers

Risk The Hurt Of The Hunt

Winners And Losers

It’s all become a game of chance

The loser falls, the winners dance

Hiding from the hunters gaze

Running through an endless maze

Broken Arrows, bending rules

Escape is narrow for the fools

Supposing that they stood a chance

Loss, victory and happenstance

We throw the dice, calling it fair

But fate stacks the deck, and we are unaware

One sided rules, kept under cover

Wounded and surprised the lover

Who risked it all, losing a friend

But does it matter in the end

Trading loves kiss, for another choice

Settling for less, ignoring the voice

In the back of your head on the tip of your tongue

We both end up losing when alls said and done

So, hunter or hunted, predator or prey

Both surrender something just to play the game
