Wingless Bird

Freedom felt from the heart

By Rohitha LankaPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

A bird without wings, feeling with its heart

The narrow sky is not yours, but mine, the beautiful meadow

Sitting on the roof of the house, peeping at the beautiful flowers

I can enjoy everything that is easy for me

The taste of life without narrow bonds

Only a bird knows the joy of growing flowers

A basket full of fragrant flowers plucked from thorns

Tomorrow, come and wear your head

I like your style of writing and where your words go as they wander on the screen. I love birds, so naturally I could not help but click this one. I like these lines ‘Only a bird knows the joy of growing flowers’ we’ve got a lot to thank the birds for, and perhaps a lot to envy. I also like this one ‘ Tomorrow, come and wear your head’ very deep, it’s like a lingering thought, where the meaning only hits you on a random day. Outstanding piece!
