The Ferocity of Wind

4Words Prompt #3

Have you ever seen the east arctic wind blaze through

The ground an ocean floor, waves of frozen vapor slithering

Ice snaking between thrice-covered stones and knee-high foliage

Now just smooth edges along an endless landscape

A wind that seeks out movement to silence, biding its time

A frigidness so beautiful

Death in disguise

A quietness so final

Leaving only awe of nature’s frosted transformation
