Wing And A Prayer

By Colleen WaltersPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

Cunning tightens chains

Lies thrusting without mercy

Kiss turns red blood black.

—-

Captor’s system glows

Feelings adroitly channeled

Prisoner in “love”

Unlikely allies,

Souls linked with gossamer wings,

Fighting for this one.

—-

This one’s a trophy,

His demise, enemy’s goal.

But he has a choice.

—-

Lamp on fumes, wings weak

As They tarry, to bring him

Back to his life pack.

satan’s campaign ads are masterfully misleading, and you don’t get to see the harsh reality until you have voted.
