The give, the take.
Can I not have and still want?
What is structure without balance?
What is balance without serenity?
Serenity without stability?
Too much pressure and the foundation will begin to crack.
Not enough effort, you end up placing last.

Then there’s that sweet spot - ever wonder why they call it that?
A perfectly level surface.
Not too hot, not too cold.
A scale that reads zero.
Does it not lack flavor?
Couldn’t it use a little substance?

Oh wow, this was so deep. It also made me think of the Goldilocks Zone. Loved your poem!
I love how this piece plays with contrast. Beautifully written.
There's a lot of truth to these words. I believe you can have and still want. It's part of that feeling or goal to fulfill. Thanks for sharing.
