Wildberry Rain

The Sweet Gravity of Love

In absence of clouds, rain melodies descend upon me.

Could it be because of you?

Even sans wind, I find myself soaring high.

Though no moon lights my path, its enchantment I feel.

Perhaps all this is your doing?

Not under a tree, yet wild berries shower upon me.

Your blueberry dreams entwine me even while awake.

Doesn't anyone else linger in your memories but me?

Grant me respite from your thoughts, if only for a moment, so I may breathe.

No truth in words matches your raspberry-flavoured kiss.

No truth in gazes equals your gooseberry touch.

No truth in gestures rivals your blackberry pinch.

The truth of your huckleberry love bite means more than a smile to me.

I've penned a ten-page poem, stumbling up and down,

Yet none compares to your embrace.

Why leave even a breath's space between us?

Oh my gosh, this was incredibly good. I saw you in the comments of sk, I think it was. I was on the hunt for poetry to read and I am amazed at how original you are. I haven’t heard of raspberry flavoured kiss before, never heard of blackberry pinch either. It sounds so good when I say it. I feel like I am in love all over again, that’s how amazingly love filled this poem was. I love your banner also 👌🏽
