Why worry

This poem defines worry

By Goto EmmanuelPublished about a year ago 1 min read

worry is a student; failing to marry his ink –

kissing the inkless pen.

worry is a graduate, running with letters;

but the few offices rejected his tiny handwriting.

worry is a man, who wants to wed;

but has no nest to lay.

he is a student hoping to dream;

but nauseating in a dream.

worry is a mother; whose pot is empty –

praying to unlock her kitchen.

She is a girl, sneaking out like a homeless bird, running from the rustling wind.

he is a driver, who only listens to the radio without passengers, for his bill awaits him

worry is a lawyer, lying in vain, for his mind is perturbed.

worry is that gangsters seeking ransom;

worry is the patients & doctors;

for only the dead have no worries.

he is a friend to every tree;

even the iroko tree bows to the rustling wind.

worry is the poor & rich;

for he takes a thousand dreams to the dark sea/

where no incantation can rejuvenate the desired dream.
