Why I left

I am bigger than you made me

By HazelPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I am bigger than who you made me

Wider

Stronger

More beautiful

I am fire engulfing a universe

Like the sun I can make things happened

I am as the ocean

Glory runs through me like streams into rivers and rivers into lakes

Waves in the sea

I am like a storm

A terrain

Like the earth

I birth mountains and flowers

lions and thunder

I am the canvas for the sunrise

for the sunset

I am the gasp when you behold the curves of the woman you love

Or the sight of a big cat cutting into the limbs of its prey

I am a place where the the moon

mighty as she is

Can be halved

And wholed

And halved again

I am a beauty you never stopped to appreciate

/

I left because you had a container

Four by four

so small

you wanted me to call that home

You wanted me to crawl

On my knees

Beg for things

I left because I couldn’t fit there

How couldn’t you see that ?

I didn't need anything

I was

everything

Am

I had to leave

There was no other choice

For places where I can flow

Stages where I can shine

Paths where I can wonder barefooted in the rain

As free as I was made

I know you love your home

Your corners and walls

Your limits are your comforts

But I never needed safety

for I am bigger than you made me

I had to leave

you see

For me
