Because you must answer for the pain you be-caused

Citing and calling uncitable uncalled-for flaws

Of a child, like you, who made yourself better

By showing her worse when you peer-reviewed vet her

.

Because you must atone for the losses incurred

By those who lost, by your profits, undeserved

And lit the fuse of cascading misfortunes

That exploded their lives while your fortune burgeons

.

Because you broke all the hearts offered you

In good faith while you looked elsewhere and slaughtered, too

It all runs downhill from the king self-perched at the top

Onto those who couldn't see where you begin and they stop

.

If you're wondering why I called you all here

All you me's who lived my life without tears

Or fears, how the destruction you cause can follow close behind

When it's too late to undo the damage done, to the trusting, in kind
