Why are you Hiding?
I see you peeping through your blinds,
silent now, but full of spite.
Once, you stood so bold, so sure,
now you shrink into the night.
Why are you so cold and distant?
What has pulled you far away?
You stare but will not meet my eyes,
tell me, what do you see today?
The air between us hums with silence,
heavy, thick with things unsaid.
Once, your words could fill the spaces,
now they echo, lost and dead.
Is it guilt or is it anger
that keeps you hidden out of sight?
Do you flinch beneath the memories,
or do you curse me in the night?
You used to call, you used to listen,
now there’s nothing left to save.
Have I become a ghost you bury,
or am I digging my own grave?
Still, I stand here, cold and waiting,
aching for a single sign.
But all I see are shifting shadows,
all that’s left of you and I.
