Who We Used to Be

And As I Say Goodnight

We were broken

We were wrecked

We were a tattered torn up mess

We were fumbled

We were left

We were just not wanted yet

We were lost

We were gone

We were not that far beyond

We are here

We are now

We are not pushed around

We are strong

We are power

We are a blooming wildflower

We are better

We are fixed

We are something to be missed

As I say goodnight

But there I go again

I’ve messed it up and then

You say that everything's fine

That I am yours and you are mine

So I'll hold your bear tight,

As I say goodnight.

It does all but make my wrongs right

I need you tonight, to drown out the sound

I'm here alone in the crowd, no one else is around.
