Who's Left To Blame?

How everyone is good at pointing the finger and attacking when called out. Also how no one likes to look at themselves as the problem. However if there are long standing problems that don't change, chances are looking inward is the key. Theres two truths to blame, the things done to you were wrong and not your fault and how one continues to treat others because of those wounds is ones own problem to mend, not others. Why is the most powerful question and when followed can lead to the root of ones continuing childhood wounds

Hidden Messages Around Town - Curtis Woodcock

Syllabic truth flowing through the grooves

However, empty it all seems to prove

The same ends to the same means

Different cycles with scraped knees

Emotions colour and decorate

Nothing of value disintegrates

Too many voices all want to have a say

No one speaking anyway

Enough truth to disguise dishonesty

Enough lies to discredit your mind

When does it end?

Do I return in kind?

Disastrous love from all sides

Everyone searching

Pretending and yearning

Never learning

Fingers point and blame settles in

When did mirrors get so thin?

No recognition of the reflection

If we can’t trust our own eyes

To see the lies stuck in our teeth

How will we ever collectively grow?

I guess it's true

Nothing will ever change

The empty rhetoric

Repeated infinitely

The only way out is through

Through the self, buried in the masks

Hidden from plain view

Everyone sees their truth in the lies of others

As I can see through everyone too

No one's eyes seem to work inward

Inversely cursing everything we need still

When we needed it most

It was out of stock

When called out paternal, maternal, infernal

Shock and disbelief ensue

No one believes you

Everyone else is at fault

However, at the root

Its always you

The fault is never ours to start

Generational fears passed on

Blame for the ones that failed you, while true

Its still no excuse

If the cycles never stop

Who's left to blame?
