Who Do You Say
That I Am?
“When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Matthew 16:13-16 NKJV
" Bara Elohim Et Ha-Shamaim V-Et Haratz" is the first verse of the Bible in Hebrew. (Genesis 1:1)
" In the beginning God created" is the translation to English, which has been deemed accurate by Hebrew scholars.
"Elohim" is a Hebraic plural noun used to describe God in this first verse, and we learn that the Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit are of the plurality of God. We know that God is Omniescient, so why is it hard to believe that He came to dwell among His people on earth?
Jesus was in the beginning, as the Person of God , who would come to earth in human form. The Holy Spirit is the part of God that lives within each of us and guides us. He is our intuition, gut instinct, moral compass, our comforter and advisor.
We are given free will because God wants us to come to Him willingly, and the "fear of God" is not fear as we know the word, but is the fear of disappointing God with our conduct. It is this " fear" that guides our steps in life, and gives us pause for thought when we think of doing something that we know would disappoint our Creator.
When the Bible says God created man, it says, "“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; " describing the three Persons of Him- He gave us more than a physical body, He gave us compassion, a will and a soul as an extension of Himself. We were made to be like God, and He came as Christ to show us how to live and to redeem us, and the Holy Spirit was given to us to join our spirits.
"Supernatural (of a manifestation or event) attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature."
Anyone who has experienced supernatural events knows that there's a force beyond this world. How many people have survived accidents or illnesses against the odds? How many people have visions that guide them?
How many people are thankful that they followed their "intuition" ? How many people use the word " miracle" and don't even realize that it WAS a miracle, and that miracles are happening all around them? How many people see a light coming from someone, even when they don't believe in God?
That's how God works. He came as Christ Jesus to experience human life but to ultimately make us saints, and he dwells in us through the Holy Spirit. " Amen" is the Hebrew word for affirmation as "truth, truly, let it be so". We may never be perfect like Christ, but we can know and believe like Simon Peter. Amen.
The last verse of Revelation in the Bible says,
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
Amen.

I’m so glad this received top story. 🙂
Beautiful - powerful - clear truth!
I believe in One God, and that Jesus (peace be upon him) was a prophet, not the son of God. I do not agree.
Love how this dives into the mystery of the Trinity—definitely makes you think twice about what "made in God's image" truly means!
Back to say congratulations on your Top Story! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊
Amen! Such a beautiful and heartfelt presentation of God’s greatness and goodness! What an incredible piece to see as a Top Story!
I have been writing for Vocal for 8years and they used to reject articles about Jesus. I am so happy for you getting top story.
NOT JUST WELL DESERVING OF TS BUT MAGNIFICENTLY DONE.. When my daughter-in-law was diagnosed with cancer, I prayed for her to "heal". Her husband (my son) is disabled. They have a son who has autism. Her cancer wat the last thing they needed. So I prayed. I prayed to Blessed Carlo (who will be Canonized 9/7/25) and Pope Francis. One month later, my daughter-in-law went for her pre-surgery scan. THE CANCER WAS GONE!! They found no trace of it. I have no doubt she received a miracle.
This was very deep. May you always be blessed!
A beautiful and reverent reflection on divine presence, identity, and grace. Your words remind us that faith isn't just belief—it’s relationship, recognition, and response. Amen to every line
