Who Am I(Who Are You)

Displaced Thoughts And Designations

By Jess Allen GribnitzPublished 4 years ago 2 min read

As the thoughts come to light

Not just thrown away to the side

The blight of the situation

Has come along for a long ride

Used to think of just the women

The simplicity of the constructs, the human mind

The persimmon intricacy

The sweet lips of intimacy

The contrive rind of the simple way of life

Yet, as I grew older

The thoughts of simplicity faded away

The yearning of science way at its bay

I grew bolder in the process of my thoughts

And less in the intricacies of loving what not

But rather disgraced by the face of humanity

And its poor use of brutality

Fewer things were in my mind to describe the intimacy of life

Yet more was described in the delicacy of strife

The bills, the place, and the descript methods of the race

Made my mind grow past the simplicities of a white picket face

And instead I wanted the bones of the universe

To be able to grow abundant in my wheelhouse

I found that love in a sensual sense

Was no longer the preference

Failed lovers and the things that they said

Made my heart fill with all of the dread

Cold and empty

Distant and worthy

Helped me find what I was about

Not of the many

Not of the shrew

I just had way too much

Way too much to do

To find a lover's face

Was not my way

Not to kiss a pretty face...

For a loner to find

A hobby in life

Just before death swings his final scythe

Who am I

I am a worker at heart

Have a bright passion

With not many to start

Walking the path

Most on my own

I have found my life not to be postponed

But the beginning of what I feel like I could own

Zig zagging left

Zig zagging right

I will find my place to find

Maybe a love

Maybe a job

I just know now what I'm made of

I am myself

And you should too

For who are you to not be a life that you can see through

This is your life

And you should take it

Make the best of the time that you have been given

Do not waste time just mucking about

Because your own life is what you should have the say of doubt

Take it from me

The nomad of drought

That you should love yourself before you love throughout

This is your time

Not one of without

So what are you waiting for

The time has come in bought

inspirational
