Who am I to you?
When others ask of me, do you say a friend, acquaintance or just another face?
Because when others ask of you,
You are the rhythm of my heartbeat
As I dance my blues away,
The freshness in a seaside breeze,
With salt water stained jeans
So, who am I to you?
When others ask of me do you forget my name?
Because when others ask of me, I say my everything
You are my breath of fresh air
The reason that I smile,
The playfulness behind wind tossed hair
Tell me anything, a secret or a dare...
So, when others ask of me, Who am I to you?
When someone asks about you,
The smile spreads across my lips like a fire
You know the wild ones?
Because the way others see the world, is what I see when I see you
Or perhaps it's just me who feels this way,
So, when others ask about me, Who am I to you?
Who am I to you?
A ghost from the past? The one you wish you had?
People change overtime,
Because when others ask of you,
I say you were a man that I once knew
A man I once admired,
A man I once desired,
So when others ask of me, Who am I to you?
