Who am I?

The question that begins the journey of discovery.

By Farah NisaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Who am I?

A question I ask myself frequently.

Well I'm me, just ordinary, boring, plain jane me.

But other than that who am I?

Who do i want to become? Or more like who do you want me to become?

Deep down when i pull apart the skin and bones and come face to face with my soul. Under that mask, I will ask myself,

who am I?

Cause I'm not like others, I'm different.

  Which isn't a bad thing. I think.

I'm surrounded by opinionised, homophobic minds, minds that don't think like mine. Who throw all there facts and ideas in your face and then look at you like what a disgrace.

Like my words are less then theirs, that my mind has less worth then theirs. Like my presence is nothing compared to there's because Im gay or bi which makes

different and unique, and because no one sees my way of thinking I feel weak and clueless, like I don't how to do this thing we call life.

Why does it matter is I'm gay, bi, pan or Lgbt. Why does I let these labellised words define me.

You cant be gay if you've never kissed a lad. You know if your dad finds out he'll surely go mad.

and you can't be curious cause why take that chance. Why are we define by whatever's in our pants?

Why can't we communicate in a civilized way.

cause we look at all viewpoints and accept everyone. But you forced fed me that not everyone can be anyone.

What do i do and what do you want from me? How can i be somone that isn't me. I want to live how I want , to believe in the things I do and be proud to be different and so should you. This is the time where we grow and develop into our own people, we need to accept unique minds and stop being so evil.
