Poppy Color Challenge
White ... So demure, so pure
Tis actually an absence of color to be sure
We dress blushing brides in white to symbolize purity
We speak of heroic white knights as a surety
Pure as the driven snow is a popular phrase
Yet snow is quickly dirtied in our gaze
We think of white as light
The opposite of the black of night
Yet the dawn is not white as it rises from bed
Dawn glows as fire ... yellow, orange, red
We think of white as innocent, without vice
Black hat evil, white hat nice
Yet black gathers all colors as one
Welcoming all into itself, no need to run
While white repels it's more colorful fellows
Issuing goodbye's instead of hellos
Perhaps if all strove to be more like black
Our society would find the community we lack
