White Noise

SILENCE entry #2

So loud inside an ADHD mind dependent on productivity.

Infinities of thoughts, imaginings, and anxieties, and epiphanies.

Lasting seconds or minutes before being forgotten and lost.

Exhaustion makes the white noise worse, exaggerating the consequences.

Nevertheless, there are days when the white noise stops.

Caressing your mind the gentle silence makes you listless.

Eager for the white noise to return so I can get back to work.

I agree with Dharr, this is so relatable!! My fiancée says I'm definitely undiagnosed ADHD...this is a wonderful and very eloquent expression of the experience! Thank you for sharing this piece, Hope!
