Christmas rings in the starry night

I'm doing a dance. I'm going to pray.

White morning and the heart tight

The children smile as we say good night.

Impatient, excited to be able to play

Christmas rings in the starry night

Everything's beautiful in the light

The story begins today.

White morning and the heart tight

The Mistletoe is there at my height.

I close my eyes and fight to stay.

Christmas rings in the starry night

Notes in the air, in the moonlight

I hear the piano, and my fingers play

White morning and the heart tight

I take in my arms a valiant knight.

I'll tell him I love him on Monday.

Christmas rings in the starry night

White morning and the heart tight

Villanelle

Wow! Evocative Tony✨ This poem beautifully captures the warmth and wonder of Christmas. With the starry night, joyful children, and that cozy feeling of "heart tight," it paints a vivid scene full of excitement, love, and anticipation. The repetition of "Christmas rings in the starry night" feels almost like a carol, and the little moments—like the mistletoe and moonlit piano—make it feel so personal and magical. Perfect for the season’s spirit!✨
