White Collar

The Reason Royalty Disqualified Purple

By Sarah JanePublished 3 years ago 1 min read
White clothes now featuring black soot

I know why

the white collar worker

exists

:

It’s the same reason

why I believe

purple was disqualified

as the leading lady

for royal garments

:

It’s hard to live in white

without living easy

:

I live hard

:

And every moment

I live hard

is recorded in stains

:

Brown dirt

Black soot

Red blood

Aged sweat

:

The marks of living

paint white clothes

with character

:

Abstract paint splats

;

All over a white

bohemian shirt

Streaming down

the legs of my side split

smock wrapped palazzo pants

:

A masterpiece of

colorful character

Too messy

to be the mark of royalty

:

If you want to live

in pristine white cloth

be careful to refrain

from fully living
